New Year Walk Tuesday 2nd January 2024 1pm
4 mile walk around Shalford and Bramley.
This walk includes a disused railway line, a disused railway station, and an old wine press. We will start and end at a pub (Queen Victoria) where people can continue to socialise with a drink or coffee.
This is all flat and is all on concrete/footpaths/roads so no mud. People with wheelchairs, rollators and mobility scooters are welcome. It is not aimed at serious hikers, just people aimed for people who fancy some fresh air and exercise after the Christmas festivities.
DOGS WELCOME. We will stop in a pub for drinks and for toilets. There is a petrol station in Bramley if anyone needs a quick sandwich. We will finish around 3:30 – 4:00.
Meet outside the Queen Victoria pub next to Shalford Station (postcode GU4 8BY) on the A281. Park in the side roads such as Tillingbourne Rd (the road next to the pub) or Orchard Road. Look out for Darren in my yellow hi-vis top.
